“Treat brain problems early. A very high percentage of the world's population will develop a mental illness at some point in their lives. The most common illnesses are anxiety, depression, ADD, and substance abuse problems. These illnesses are bad for the brain and bad for people’s lives and families. They are also highly treatable. Successful people have problems. They just get help. The earlier you get help the better."

“Long-term stress, anxiety and depression have been linked with an increased risk of dementia and Alzheimer's disease. In fact, some research suggests that long-term stress stimulates the growth of the proteins that might cause Alzheimer's. And that can lead to memory loss.”

Brain Degeneration is on the Rise in Our Society

The degenerating brain is a real consequence for all of us in our society today. Every year as we become older we lose more and more neurons as a consequence of the normal aging process. Our brains and neurons are constantly threatened by inflammatory responses, immune activation, dysglycemia, methylation failures, deficiencies of critical nutrients, and most importantly, from lack of stimulation. The brain is essential for every aspect of our physiology, our cognitive experiences, the emotions we feel, and essentially who we perceive we are.

Everyone knows the brain is important, but how many of us make the effort to keep it healthy? What do you do to keep your brain healthy? Are you more inclined to focus on your physical appearance than on the state of health of your brain? It is something to think about and take seriously for most healthcare providers are not trained to identify early signs of brain deterioration or trained to help optimize the health and function of the brain but we, at Alternative Worldwide Health, are trained to help you achieve an understanding for supporting and optimizing the health of your brain. You do not need to be limited with your understanding of how poor brain function leads to hypertension, poor digestion, sexual dysfunction, hormone imbalances, mood swings, ADD, acting out in children, depression, abnormal pain perception, bladder incontinence, stress, etc. We treat the consequences of these conditions while considering the specific relationships of these things to brain function.

If you have any of the above conditions, you may ask 'How can I  start to feel better?'  You can start by completing an Adult Neurotransmitter Assessment Form and/ or Child Neurotransmitter Assessment Form for you and your loved ones, including children over 14 years old.   This evaluation tool will provide a clinical/nutritional picture of your neurotransmitter functions.  Our full assessment will outline neurotransmitter issues, targeted nutritional formulas, and corrective measures that will help you to become mentally and physiologically healthy by taking care of your brain functioning now.
